PRELAUNCH DRAFT · SEPTEMBER 2026
Your privacy.
This notice describes the first Prestige build. It must be finalized before public registration opens, including provider retention periods and the applicable operator details.
What we collect
We process your sign-in account, username, display name, private date of birth, selected city and optional university, uploaded media, profile links, evaluations, reports, and account preferences. Diagnostic and integrity information helps us operate the app and investigate abuse. Notifications use a device delivery token when you enable them.
What other people see
Your published Card and public profile can show your display name, username, chosen communities, profile links, Card rating, rank, and distinctions. Your birth date and individual voting history are not displayed publicly. Challenge submissions and standings can be public.
Communities
You choose your city and university from search results. City coordinates describe a community’s center, not your device’s precise location. Search uses GeoNames city data and the Research Organization Registry for institutions.
Why we use this information
We use it to provide profiles and Challenges, distribute fair opportunities for evaluation, calculate standings, moderate content, prevent manipulation, process deletion requests, and deliver enabled account updates.
Sharing and referrals
Shared links can include a random attribution identifier connected to the account that created the link and its public destination. We count browser and app opens in coarse, per-minute aggregates to understand sharing. Link previews and automated requests can contribute to these counts. These analytics never affect Prestige, Challenge scores, exposure, eligibility, or voting access. Deletion removes attribution records created by the deleted account. We do not store a list of recipients in these records.
Service providers
The build uses Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, data storage, media processing, diagnostics, and notifications, and Vercel for the website. Authorized operators can review reports and media. Provider retention and international-processing details will be completed before public launch.
Deleting your account
You can request deletion in app Settings. Once the request is accepted, your profile and media immediately become unavailable through Prestige. Background cleanup then removes your account, media, profile, and related records from active systems.
Where we can irreversibly remove the connection to you, accepted evaluations of other people’s content may remain to preserve aggregate and ranking integrity. Retained observations receive new identifiers and do not retain your account identifier, old receipt links, device information, precise timestamps, or a shared identifier for your former voting history. Evidence that identifies you as the owner of removed content is removed; already-applied aggregate effects on other accounts are preserved. Account deletion does not itself trigger a global historical ranking rebuild.
Deleted media enters restricted recovery storage for seven days from the time each file is deleted from active storage. During that period it cannot be viewed or downloaded through Prestige, including normal moderation tools. Only authorized infrastructure administrators can perform recovery; ordinary app services cannot restore deleted media. Google Cloud automatically permanently deletes these recovery copies when the seven-day period ends. We do not restore deleted-account media into the app or restart its recovery period as part of routine recovery. Any extension requires a separate product and privacy decision and an updated notice.
The seven-day window applies to media recovery copies. Operational logs currently have a 30-day default retention period; their contents and any additional provider retention details remain under review before public launch. This notice does not promise immediate erasure of every provider-internal copy or copies someone previously downloaded.
